What should my child/ I wear?
Solid colors are preferable. Horizontal stripes are out. You don’t want anything too trendy or too “now”. Think of your jewelry and makeup in the same way big blue eye shadow still means 1980-something to most people. You don’t want to date your images that way.
Jeans are always good; they never go out of style. If we are shooting a couple or a family we recommend you choosing clothing either in the same color family, i.e., everyone wear blue jeans and a dark shirt; or wear related colors & all bright solid colors for instance.
Do you take traditional family portraits?
It depends on what you deem traditional. We can take a posed shot of your family against a background, but what we love is to turn your family loose on a park, or a playground, or your own backyard, and just stand back and observe. This is where we capture the most real, poignant memories.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes we do. We can take down payments, and hold your appointment through credit card also. We also take checks and debit cards.
Do you take competitors coupons?
We sure do. We do enforce their stipulations (one per customer, etc), but yes, we do take competitors coupons.
How many people can I have in one sitting?
As many as will fit against your chosen background. If we’re shooting outside, instead of against a traditional backdrop, as many as you like. If we’re shooting against a backdrop, 15, tops, if you’re including children. If we’re shooting all adults, 8-10 is the maximum that will fit against a backdrop.
What is your refund policy?
We guarantee happy customers. If you are unhappy with your images we will gladly provide a second shoot at no expense to you.
Do you have a membership plan?
Not really. We do however offer discounts to customers that refer new clients to us.
How do I order more portraits?

Where will our shoot take place?
Anywhere you like. We’ve gone to Silver Creek Falls, the Oregon coast, Green Peter Dam, multiple parks, schools and backyards. If you have toddlers, we recommend a place that they are familiar with, it eases the tensions they might otherwise feel.

What happens if it rains and we have an outdoor shoot scheduled?
Unless it is completely pouring, that depends on you. Oregon is prone to rain, and we have gotten very comfortable and quite successful at getting gorgeous pictures in the rain. (Umbrellas make a lovely backdrop for singles or couples.) We can reschedule if you like, we can move indoors, or we can attempt to make the best of it. A quick phone call is usually all that’s needed to make that decision.
Do you resell the images? Reuse them?
We do reuse them, on our website, and in our marketing materials. Most people consider the use of their images a compliment. We don’t sell the rights to your images (stock photography) without a signed consent release from you (or your guardian if under 18).
